Hello,
I just found out that I have to take a TABE test with the Army next week. Is there any study guides out there to help, any guidance? I have to qualify with a 12.9 overall whatever that means.
Thanks.

12.9 is the Grade level you should be reading and doing math at, according to the test and is the score they require or higher. The test is not that hard. You should do fine. If I can score higher than that, anyone can.

Make sure to practice first. There are books out there for this and internet sites. Our technical center uses this to determine academic levels that must be met to meet state requirements for specific career tracks.
This as 12.9 as 12 grade + some college or life experience.
Our school often refers to this as a Basic Skills Test and there is a preparation guide you can access here:
Basic Skills Prep Guide
It is not a duplicate of the test but representative of the type of questions you would see. Most people need to brush up on math more than anything.
Hope this helps.
