TWO FREE TESU TECEP EXAMS
#1
I was just emailed this offer from TESU but the link appears open to everyone. Here is the exact email I received with the addition of the web address of the two hyperlinks within the email that were lost in copy and paste. I have previously applied to TESU but did not attend. I hope this helps someone.

Free TECEP Scholarship Available for June term!
[Image: scholarships-njplan.jpg]Congratulations on your admission to Thomas Edison State University! We are delighted to share more good news from TESU: You qualify to take up to two (2) TECEP exams at no cost for the June term!

Scholarship Terms:
This scholarship is dependent on available funds for the June 2024 term, which begins Monday, June 3, 2024. Registration for the June term is open. First come, first served!

Please note: this scholarship can only be used for the tuition cost of up to two (2) general education TECEP exams in this term and is nonrefundable and nontransferable. Financial responsibility for any other courses registered outside of TECEP exams will be the financial responsibility of the student.

Your next steps are:
1. Create your TESU Student Account if you have not done so already. https://www.tesu.edu/admissions/get-started

2. Complete and submit the Scholarship Eligibility Form, noting which TECEP exam(s) for which you wish to be registered. https://eforms.tesu.edu/appnet/adm23.html

3. Go to Student Self Service and complete the Student Agreement.

Upon receipt of the form, you will be registered into your selected courses, and will be notified of the applied scholarship funds.

Need help determining which TECEP(s) to start with? Reach out to your Admissions Counselor!
If you have questions, we can help. Please email the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at admissions@tesu.edu.

I got the offer a few months back after re-applying. It's for students who applied but haven't yet enrolled in a course.
Edit to add, I just got the offer again via email, came through about 20 minutes ago ha.

It's a good deal for anyone who can use credit by exam. Have you taken any TECEPs? How do they compare with CLEP or AP tests?

I posted a TESU application fee waiver code https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...ee-at-TESU?

I don't think it's open for anyone though, only people who get the offer via email. I've never done any TECEPs or CLEPs so I couldn't say. All of my TESU credits are from online courses, e-packs, and guided study.

Edit: I just got this follow-up email from TESU lol.

Quote:Dear RJ77,

Please disregard an email you may have received regarding the Some College, No Degree TECEP Scholarship. This email was sent in error.

We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

Sincerely,

I just got the same situation. I received the email, was excited, went to sign up...and received the second "sorry, you were sent this in error" email. Sad

Does anyone know what, if anything, is going on here?

My guess is, it's only for those who received it the first time, not the ones who get that a second time after sign up...
