Our CC's program is only 1 class and prepares you to sit the exam --> license. It's also about $500. The issue is that it's not worth college credit, so people who want a DEGREE in real estate, have to do that separately from getting their license, and there aren't a ton of options.
When my son was in high school, he took the class, and I worked in the background trying to figure out how to roll together a degree in real estate for him- fast forward he changed directions, but after a lot of looking, this is a tough field to find online - let alone through affordable schools or ones that take alternative credit!

Ours is actually 3 courses that count as credit, and there are additional courses you can take if you want RE as your major.

I 100% agree with you! I took two at my CC and PLA the other two back in the 1990s. They prepared you for Real Estate and the State RE Appraisal Exam. The 4th class was RE Investing.
