Hello everyone!
After I have stopped taking courses for my Associates in Arts for a while because of circumstances, I want to pick up where I left off and still obtain my degree, either at TESU or at Excelsior. I live in the Netherlands, so everything goes via distance learning.
Here is where my question comes in: I already have 32 credits of the 60 necessary for this degree, a lot of them I obtained via Straighterline. Do TESU and/or Excelsior accept unlimited Straighterline credits or is there a maximum to them? Do they want to see more CLEP or Excelsior credits or doesn't it really matter from which source my credits come, as long as they are official credits from official organizations?
Another question: are there a lot of things changed since TESU changed to being a university?
Please notify me if one of my questions is a bit unclear, and I will try to explain it different.

Hanny, here is a way to check:
The Alternative Credit Project
go to
"Find a college or university I'm interested in attending"
then
"Select a School"
"--Select State--"

Thomas Edison State University
it should say "Transfer up to 90 credits"
on the right hand side it will show what they accept:
"What ACP courses do they accept?"

-- you can click on each subject to see who else (besides SL) offers ACP courses that TESU will accept. I don't see Excelsior on the list, but someone else can tell you how many they will accept from one source.

I hope it helps! Have you enrolled at TESU? The rules are changing, adding a required Cornerstone class in May, so if you want to avoid having to do that, try to get enrolled ASAP

TESU will accept up to 90 credits from a single source for a bachelors degree and up to 45 for an associates.
Transfer Credit
BA, MA, EdS, MMT, etc.
83 hours of ACE-worthy credits
