I have completed an introduction to computer information systems at a local community college. I'm assuming this will transfer as intro to CIS. Currently I am taking introduction to computer science at Saylor. I could have sworn that when I researched this, Saylor said that the equivalent was intro to computer science at TESU. However I just looked at the partner page at Saylor.org, and it says the equivalent class is introduction to computers\C I S. So I'm not sure if what I'm doing is correct.

Saylor's course definitely transfers in as COS-101 Introduction to Computers. So if your CC course transfers in the same, this would duplicate.

Sometimes Intro to CIS transfers in as CIS-102. It depends on the course and the course content.

True. My CC's Intro to Computer Info Systems transferred as CIS-102. I don't know how CGaboury'ss CC course will transfer, but Saylor will transfer as COS-101.
