Thanks for the correct address...not sure if sbm@tesu.edu routes to the same place. Good luck to all...this out-of-nowhere change is a real bummer (and total BS). Send those emails...

OK, I heard back. Per the Business School, I was told that the class is approved for transfer. I was not told if this this applies to all students, or if they were simply answering me specific to my case. I think if you're in the class, you're OK, but I don't want to speculate whether it applies to everyone. I was told that the class is currently approved for transfer as BUS 421. That's not to say it is or isn't changing go-forward.

Phew! Hope anyone else who emailed received similar news.

Seems likely at this point they don't want to screw over people who have invested their time into the class and good on them for that. However I would suggest in the future those taking this class be wary and look at the TECEP first.

This is the response I received from the assistant dean.

Quote:Not sure where you are getting this information, but as of today this information is incorrect. Penn Foster's Strategic Business Management is applicable toward Thomas Edison State University's Strategic Management core requirement. If you are currently in the course, it will transfer. If it is decided in the future that Capstone courses are not transferrable, students will be notified ahead of time before the course is approved.

This made for some good reading drama over the weekend. It seemed very unlikely that the course would not count but anything is possible. Thank you sanantone for taking the time to email for clarity. I appreciate the Asst. Dean mentioning that all changes would first have an email notification sent out.

My Strategic course from Penn Foster was transferred in about a week ago and with my last remaining courses should officially show by close of March.

For those that took the class within the last 30 days, did you have Donna Evans as your instructor? Only asking because I find it interesting/cool that this will be the second example of working together but never actually meeting. First example is this big project called Degreeforum.

I also had Donna Evans for Strategic Mgmt and International Business. However, I didn't really find her helpful with anything as all she did was show slides in a webinar. I could never get her to respond to emails.
