Also consider the value of an Associates Degree if something should happen where you can't continue toward your Bachelor's. In my professional HR life, I see a significant number of job applicants who have 2-3 years of college but no degree. Your decision should be based on your own desires and the cost of the AA, so long as it doesn't deter you too far from the BA path you're already on. Just my two cents worth.

Automatically in as much as an AA is transferred. AFAIK, an AA doesn't always transfer as a whole credit block either except for within the same college/university network.
