sure you all got this, but for those not on the mailing list...
Quote:Hello Student,
Thomas Edison State University Kelsey Clock This message is to clarify how new residency requirements affect students who select the Per Credit Tuition Plan. The new requirements went into effect, April 1, and require students to complete 16 credits via Thomas Edison State University Online (OL), Guided Study (GS) or e-Pack (EP) courses.
TECEPÂ (TE) exams and Prior Learning Assessment (PA/PF) credits can no longer be used to satisfy residency requirements under the plan, however students currently registered for TECEPÂ exams and Prior Learning Assessment credits for the April and May 2016 terms will be able to apply those credits toward their residency requirements. In addition, credits earned via TECEPÂ exams and Prior Learning Assessment prior to April 1 can be applied to a studentâs residency requirement under the plan.
The new residency requirements do not apply to nursing students or students enrolled under a military plan.
The Learner Support Center is available to answer any questions you may have about the new residency requirements or how they impact your degree program. Please contact us at lsc@tesu.edu or (888) 442-8372 if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Dr. Ray Young

I got that one, which was followed up by this one:
Quote:Hello, Student.
I am reaching out to you today because you have been identified as a student who has met the residency requirement that were in effect at the time of your original enrollment at Thomas Edison State University under the Per Credit Tuition Plan. As such, your academic record has been noted that you officially meet the residency requirements for your bachelor’s degree.
As of April 1, Thomas Edison State University has changed its residency requirement policy. These changes will not apply to you as long as you maintain continuous enrollment in the University pursing a degree at the bachelor’s degree level and follow through in good standing until graduation.
If your enrollment lapses and you later return, you will need to meet the residency requirement in effect at that time.
Please contact us at academicadvisement@tesu.edu or (888) 442-8372 if you have any questions about this approval.
Sincerely,

Just to be clear, if you pay the 2k residency waiver fee then you don't have to meet residency requirements on the per credit plan. Correct?

Here is what I got from them today:
I hope this email finds you well. The $2000 residency waiver basically waives the 16 credit residency you need to graduate. For you that means you can transfer all credits in, take the Capstone, pay the residency waiver, and then you would be able to graduate. Or you could do your original plan of doing 21 credits of TECEP , then the Capstone and then pay the waiver to graduate. If you have any other questions , please feel free in contacting us here at the Learner Support Center. Have a great day.

Hi SuzanneD,
It is one or the other for you. There is no need to pay for both options.
My guess is that you should go with the residency waiver of $2000 and transfer in all including the capstone.
Unless of course you had completed TECEPS for residency, it would be cheaper.
You are under the 2015/2016 catalogue, so you can transfer all but 16 credits and use those TECEPS.
If you haven't completed any TECEPS, then my first statement holds, and is applied in this case.
Note: I just saw your signature and it showed the capstone Strategic Management from PF.
