TESU - Changing Tuition Plan

Hopefully someone can offer some guidance/advice. I'm currently enrolled at TESU (NJ resident) under the now-defunct "Enrolled Options Plan." I'm going to have to change plans in July when my current enrollment expires.

I only have a few CLEP & DANTES exams to do to complete my BA/Social Sciences (the only actual course I still have to take is the Capstone), so the Comprehensive Tuition plan wouldn't make any sense for me. So I'm left with the Per-Credit Tuition Plan.

My question is - if I enroll under the Per-Credit plan, do I actually have to sign up for a course? I'm not planning on taking the Capstone course any time soon (definitely not in the upcoming semester), and that's the only course I need. Can I just pay the Per-Credit Tuition (cheapest tier that covers up to 3 credits) to maintain my enrollment status under my existing catalog (2013) without actually registering for a course? Or will I be forced to take a course that I don't need and don't have the time for? Obviously, my big issue is that I need to make sure I stay enrolled under the old catalog requirements.

You'll have to take a course in order to be enrolled under the Per Credit Tuition Plan. Taking a 1-credit course would be the cheapest option, and bjcheung77 posted a list of 1-credit courses you can choose from here http://www.degreeforum.net/excelsior-tho...post209176.

That's not a bad course, and yes it's for the entire year. Also, you are officially enrolled on the 10th day of the term in which you register for your course.

How about the medical terminology tecep? $38 vs. $385. Or take a Tecep you would need for $114. Either way is a lot cheaper than the PLA 100.

I thought the Per-Credit Plan covered a certain number of credits as part of the tuition plan ($1,155 for up to 3 credits, $2,310 for up to 6 credits, etc, according to the TESU website). I was interpreting that as meaning if I paid the $1,500 to remain enrolled I wouldn't have to pay extra for a course (up to 3 credits). Am I interpreting this wrong?

+1, This is what I would recommend as well for continuous registration, to take a TECEP that you need, if you don't need it and just want to keep enrollment, that TECEP for Medical Terminology is the cheapest, it should give you an extra year enrollment. When you're done the capstone, pay the remainder of your fees and you're done.

The Per-Credit Tuition Plan has no fee to enroll. The $1,155 for 3cr is the actual cost of a course if you are a NJ resident (it's $1497 for a non-resident).
