Thanks a lot for your help. I ve noticed many of the members here enroll in BACS degree. Nevertheless when I went through multiple degree plans I ve realized that most of the courses which are chosen belong to BSIT program. Thus, I have question, is it possible to use the Area of study courses from IT degree as many here to apply towards BACS and successfully fulfill comsci electives even though electives presented by TESU don’t match IT Area of Study courses?
As I understand I can’t lock the catalog for BACS if I will apply now for BSIT. So I am not sure what is the best option – to apply to BSIT and feel safe that I follow TESU presented study plan? Or apply for BACS and hope it will go well with IT Area of study courses? Of cause I would prefer to get BACS degree but If I can’t cover all comsci courses through study.com or other providers I would consider BSIT degree.Hope someone can give me good advice on this one since I must apply ASAP
Thanks a lot
The computer science degree is doable via study.com, and coopersmith and tecep if needed. The IT degree might not be doable especially considering some of the study.com computer courses are now no longer accepted. Also the IT degree requires two lab sciences and less room for free electives if computer Science is your first choice degree anyways then jsut go with that. If you really want to do IT I would make sure it is doable at tesu first given the recent changes. It might be worth looking at wgu and other schools for IT. Also if you would like to earn both degrees per the note I got from tesu. If you want to earn two degrees in the same cycle you have to have 24 credits different between the two aos also it requires two Capstones. This does not seem possible or if is it would be very difficult. If I were you I would just do computer Science especially since it sounds like that is what you want.
What UL does coopersmith provide for the CS degree? It seems all are LL. Do you get study materials for TECEP? Study.com has 3 ULs (9cr). Where should I get the other 9cr? Does capstone count as an UL? for 18cr for CS?
Also, does TESU consider this UL? It states UL on SDC.
