What exactly is your question?

Do you want to find other means of transferring credits in? You should be able to transfer all credits in besides strategic management (can be done as a tecep) and the cornerstone.

I would start with clep, dsst, straighterline, saylor, + the free ethic course
#3
Get It On 1, I think the cheapest/easiest/fastest way to get all the required credits is to follow just what was told in the post above.
Further to that, there's a spreadsheet by dfrecore I copied/modified and it's on the degreeforum.wikia.com page.
I noticed you're a long time member, search for several templates that dfrecore has created in say the last two/three months.

You'll have all the info you require in the templates/spreadsheets and it'll give you exactly what courses go where.
Moreover, there are the templates made by Sanantone on the wikia page, again, detailing possible options for each and every course.
Take the time to review it, that's what I did before creating the Beginners Guide Thread or The Basic Approach - Online Education Guide.

Thank you both. My DH is not sure which degree to take at TESU. BSBA in General Management, Finance or what. The idea is to finish as quickly as possible with a Bachelors degree in some kind of banking/financial field.

Have you heard of CFT courses? Has anyone on the forum used CFT's to transfer into a BSBA in General Management versus Finance? I have no knowledge of what will transfer into TESU using CFT's.

Not sure when using CFT's which TESU degree plan (General Management versus Finance BSBA) will take more credits and were they would fall into each category.

The above (from TESU) looks like only SOME of the credits transfer into the "General Management" BSBA. But when you go to the TESU enrollment page and switch the BSBA degree plan to the BSBA to "FINANCE"... ALL the credits transfer. Not sure about majoring in Finance...as the background is more in banking...but trust and would like the advice of veteran pro's and also people that are going through the transfer process into TESU now for the purpose of picking a major and to trying to plan first TESU class.

So next question is...what TESU class would HAVE to be taken through the University? Or, which class would you register for at TESU stating September/October...especially if this was your first time back in college after a long hiatus?

Last but not least, please help me out here; I found some Wiki links... but which Wiki link to the BSBA is the most current? Sorry to ask, but can someone post a direct link so I am sure? I know there has been clean up going on, which is why I want to double check all the info is current before enrolling in any TESU courses.

Thanks as always! I can't stop raving about how awesome being on this site has been to me! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS... Next step is the MBA!

The wiki that says post 2015 is accurate the one for dfrecore is the one I am currently using for General management.
She is a Godsend on this forum. I don't know what I'd do without her.

Sana also has a bunch that are updated. Click on the ones that say post 2015. She is also amazing.

for me I personally like straighterline it's more time consuming then test but I can do the test whenever.
I signed up for almost all of the business courses. I'm going through them right now. It'll probably take me two months.

The only course you will need to do is the cornerstone that'll run you 300. You also need to do strategic management but this can be done doing a tecep.

I'm on my phone so I can't give you direct links but hopefully someone else can.

I know the BSBA at TESU like the back of my hand, so I can help.

No idea what CFT's are, you'd have to give more info on that. You may want to post your DH's transcript as the Finance degree if that would help. Or at least post which courses came through when you switched to Finance (include course name and the course number TESU gave it like FIN-362 or whatever).

The main issue with the BSBA (in my opinion) is that it is not very flexible. There are 54cr of specific requirements (plus 6cr of specific math in Gen Ed), leaving only 6cr of Free Electives. There is just not a lot of extra room for business courses (or other courses) that aren't Gen Ed. Most of the other degree plans will only require 33cr in the major, leaving room for 27cr of Free Electives, which can be really helpful for anyone who has a lot of random credits (maybe they've gone to school on and off for 10 years but changed their major 6 times).

Anyway, post the info so we can see what to help you with.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it because I know nothing about the BSBA degree plan. Thank you both for your experience and help. Okay because the TESU evaluation are massive, I am going to answer the CFT class questions in a separate e-mail. This is what came out when switching to BSBA in FINANCE (as opposed to BSBA in General Management)- looks they they are taking more credits just by switching to finance...But DH doesn't really want to take Finance Classes, just Management.

Once we get this sorted out, I am thinking this might be helpful to other people in banking or insurance jobs since CFT's are classes many banks and insurance companies offer to their employees as an incentive to learn and advance their skills. My husband was a teller for years before he even heard about this benefit. Here's what i found from reading both the TESU and the CFT websites:

Welcome CFTACS Students

Accelerate your path to a degree using your Center for Financial Training Atlantic & Central States (CFTACS) training and Thomas Edison State University credit options.

Thomas Edison State University offers Online and Guided Study courses, Prior Learning Assessment, Testing and a liberal credit-transfer policy that honors your previous CFTAS training. The University Accelerated Program (CAP) offers employees in the financial services industry the ability to achieve degree status through college credit recommendations approved by the American Council on Education (ACE). An ACE sponsor for more than 20 years, CAP enables banking students to transfer more than 30 credits toward completion of an Associate in Business Administration degree and up to 51 credits toward a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Finance or General Management at Thomas Edison State University.

So what do you think? Can all 48 credits from CFT's (ACE certified credits) be transferred into either BSBA (General Management or Finance) at TESU? What are the absolute TESU classes you have to take? Which can be tested out of (after and IF they take all 48 CFT's)? Is it possible to complete the BSBA in General Management in 2 years (or maybe even less) looking at the Academic Evaluation transcript for BSBA General Management mentioned above?
