He also plans to complete research methods Uexcel. This was suggested to him by TESU only. I wonder how they are now saying it won’t satisfy the requirements.
I would push back on that until you get either an explanation or a different answer. Ask how it is possible for an upper-level course to duplicate a lower-level.

Even if it DOES duplicate, the UL one should be able to REPLACE the LL one and give your UL credit to use.

Even if it DOES duplicate, the UL one should be able to REPLACE the LL one and give your UL credit to use. Please help me understand further: If it does duplicate the SDC Social Psychology course, will I still be required to complete SDC's advanced Social Psychology course? Bcos TEsU expects 6 credits for Social Psychology. So, it has to be two courses. The question is 'which two'?
TESU is willing to accept SDC's Social Psychology + Adv. Social Psychology courses. But both will only satisfy LL requirements. Is there a way to use the Uexcel exam to satisfy UL requirements as well as the additional 3 credits?

If Nodaclu can comment, I would like to know how he met his social psychology as well as upper credit requirements.

You can meet the requirement in any way you want - 2 LL or 1 LL + 1 UL. The main issue is going to be getting the UL credits into the degree.
I would plan it so that 1) you get the easiest credits, and then 2) you get the correct number of UL credits. This may mean replacing some of the easier courses with UL credits. THEN, do your courses.

Supermind,
It appears that TESU is giving you some conflicting information. With my BA in Psychology, I contacted TESU, and they allowed me to take SDC SOC PSY 104 as LL, and to take Uexcel SOC PSY as UL, which transfered as PSY-370 into my degree. What you need to do is to get in contact with a MRS. Beckett on TESU academic advising team. She is of supreme help and guidance. Explain to her your situation, and say that you want to meet the 6 credit requirement for SOC PSY in the Psychology degree through taking 1 SDC SOC class, and ! UEXCEL SOC PSY course. If my memory serves me right, she should be able to get it approved by the dean. PM me if you have any more Q's.

That was the strategy I tried using- completing all UL courses first. But I guess I went a bit too fast and completed courses which don’t meet their requirements. I am happy to complete more UL courses- but if they are particular only certain courses need to be UL, then I don’t know what to do.

I haven't heard that particular courses must be UL - but there must be 18cr of UL in the major. I would contact them to make sure that Social Psych must be UL (it may not), and then you just need to make sure that you have all of the UL's that you need.
Many people take one or another of the required courses at CC's and are accepted - so it's not any particular course that will probably give you problems.

In my case, I have completed I/O Psychology & Org. Theory. They are able to accommodate only one of the two courses in the AOS. If both get included, I will have 12 UL credits. I will just need to complete the Soc. Psych Uexcel. Now, TESU is asking me to complete two more UL courses/exams. Research methods & Abnormal Psychology.
I am waiting to hear from them about Soc. Psych Uexcel. I wrote to them on Friday last week, that it is supposed to be ULtoo. Abnormal psychology Uexcel costs almost twice the amount.
dfrecore, if you haven’t already read my post on another thread- ‘how to ask for a waiver of 3 credits’- I am now seriously thinking of pursuing a BALS degree with an 18-credit concentration in psychology. I am seeing on TESU website that both I/O Psychology & Org. Theory are mentioned. I have already completed History & Systems, and Psych of Personality. I feel I might be able to cost effectively fulfill the BALS requirements than BA-Psychology, which seems to have relatively fewer inexpensive options on study.com or Saylor. As for BALS- I can easily find any one UL course on SDC to meet the 5th UL requirement. And the degree also meets my personal requirements of knowledge in the field of psychology. What are your thoughts?
