TESU - BA CS + BS CIS
#11
For Computer Science, we usually recommend the following be taken at TESU:

Cornerstone
Capstone
Software Engineering
2 easy 100-level ePacks or regular classes

There are specific suggestions here: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Th...timization

If you're going to be doing the BACS + BS CIS, you'll probably want to either do the Business capstone separately or be prepared to pay for an extension on either or both capstones. Doing the Business capstone separately costs more money, but will be less stress in the long run.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Free, but what is your time worth?  Nothing? Then, it is free with no penalty.

If you have 30 courses left to do and waste an average of 10 hours per course, then you wasted 300 hours. Someone could drive for doordash and make $4500 with 300 hours of time.  To save $180 of Sophia membership fees isn't worth it for most people.

According to ModernState's own data, their pass rate is 70%. You will need additional sources to improve your pass rate.

Oh that makes complete sense !! IS sophia noticeably easier ? I am here to save time !! thank you

Easier depends on your experience.

For example, if you are competent in English, then the English CLEP is far quicker than completing two Sophia courses.

If you took at least one year of Spanish in high school and can understand spoken Spanish, then the Spanish CLEP should be easy.

There is still time to go through the Modern States courses, though you could skip the videos and only take quizzes.

Excluding the hard CLEPs, most CLEPs usually take around 20-40 hours of studying for most people, which is a lot of time saved compared to taking a college course, which on average takes 100 hours. However, you need to combine ModernStates, Quizets, and Instantcert/Peterson's study guides and practice tests to achieve an average pass percentage of around 90%.

For me, the Intro to IT CLEP took 5 hours, including the Modern States course and the exam. I could have probably completed the entire Sophia course as fast or faster, considering my experience.

Sophia courses that have no touchstones or only one touchstone are usually quicker to do.

It's hard to explain, and until you've done both, it's hard to see the difference.

Some people aren't good at exams, and failure of an exam can hurt people psychologically, slowing down their progress, which is why Sophia is usually recommended.

My Texas friend, pretty much everything is laid out for you... Basically, you should review the WIKI plan template and customize your studies exactly to it (or at least very similar, as the plan is optimized for cost, ease, speed already), if you need to deviate from it, you want to make sure it 'works as the classes you take elsewhere must transfer in' before deviating from the plan here: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Sa...egree_Plan
