I just checked the TESC website (I have been doing this daily--can you tell I've been anxious for my evaluation?hilarious) and finally an evaluation has appeared!
Be still my beating heart--for a BALS I need only (drum roll please...) 9 hours of free electives to finish my degree!
For fun, I used the handy-dandy "what if I change programs" thingy and if I decided to get a BA in Humanities I would only need 3 hours of Humanities (they recommend their LIB-495 class) and 6 hours of free electives!
I see some FEMA classes in my future. A little something to do while the hubby is busy watching football during the weekend.
Thanks to everyone here for the wealth of information you provide. I don't know that I would ever have gotten this far without your help.

How exciting! You are SO close! If you did want the humanities degree, maybe straighterline business communication would be a good choice. If not...enjoy those 9 FEMA's!

Thanks for the suggestion--I'll have to look into that and see if I can use that. If not, I'll look into either a CLEP or DANTES test that will give me 3 hours of UL Humanities. Most likely Civil War and Reconstruction.
I'm seriously considering the Humanities major now. Either way, I need to knock out at least 6 FEMAs, so I think I'll start looking at those this weekend.
Time to get started--AND FINISHED!

YEAH!! You are so close!!!
ps. the civil war is UL social science, but with SL you can likely rock it out in about a month for $99+$39

Well, darn it. I'll have to find something else--I already have a Marketing Communication class on my transcript, so I doubt that I can use the Business Communication class.
I'll start checking around and I'll see what's out there. The good news is--I will be a member of the 2012 graduating class!

Congratulations on being just 9 free-elective credits from graduating!!!
Although the Civil War & Reconstruction DSST doesn't fill in as a Humanities course for a Humanities concentration, at TESC, it also isn't UL, they classify it as HIS-252 (LL).
However, 9 FEMA courses are not only free, but very interesting! Where else can you learn how to dispose of animal carcasses in compliance with federal standards?
Have fun studying!

Look at this:
http://degreeplanners.com/media/TESC_Equivalencies.pdf. It shows bus communication and marketing communication as separate courses. Check for sure, but you'd probably be alright with SL. Ps...I bought my book off of eBay international edition with free shipping for about 1/3 of the cost anywhere else. I plan to start the class on Monday.
