TESC business degrees available - "Conventional" vs. "Hybrid"?
#1
(Sorry if this has been asked/answered before -- I searched first, really I did!)

Do I understand it correctly - I can't get a B.S. in Organizational Leadership if I am going to use CLEP and DANTES credits for a degree at TESC?

Here's what I read at the TESC website:
------------------------------------------------------------
"Through the Hybrid approach, students complete these degree programs by taking both Thomas Edison State College courses and classes or other credit-earning courses at institutions other than Thomas Edison State College."

School of Business and Management
Computer Information Systems BSBA
Entrepreneurship BSBA
Finance BSBA
Financial Institution Management BSBA
Hospital Healthcare Administration BSBA
Hospitality Management BSBA
International Business BSBA
Public Administration BSBA
Real Estate BSBA

"Through the conventional approach, students complete their degree programs entirely through Thomas Edison State College’s online and distance-learning courses."

School of Business and Management
Accounting BSBA
Business Administration ASBA
Human Resources Management MS
Human Resources Management/
Organizational Management BSBA
General Management BSBA
Management and Leadership MS
Marketing BSBA
Operations Management BSBA
Organizational Leadership BSOL
---------------------------------------------------------

You can use CLEP and/or DANTES for either.

The conventional approach is when you can complete all of the required classes for your particular degree by using a combination of online (or guided study) classes, TECEP exams and PLA's (prior learning assessments). Hybrid simply means that if you choose that degree program, there are classes required for completion that TESC does not offer. You will have to take them elsewhere and have them transferred in for credit.

I hope this helps! Smile

Don't be embarrassed. Most people do not fully understand what it means until after they are enrolled in the degree program!
