I do not think a proctor is needed.

If fact I have been corresponding with them and they told me they are going through an ace evaluation for 18 more courses. Looks like they may be a option for everyone. They said the cost will be $250 a course. I also asked the time frame and this was their response.
First of all, YES you can tell others, although until the ACE review process is complete, only the current 10 courses are available.
You can see the current 10 at our website
If everything goes according to plan, then these courses are projuected to be available around April 1st.The new courses are:World Religions
Intro to Psychology
Developmental Psychology
Media Literacy
English Comp I
English Comp II
Intro to Sociology
Intro to Ethics
Intro to Philosophy
Accounting I
Accounting II
Elementary Algebra
US History I
US History II
Intermediate Algebra
Introduction to Academic Rhetoric
History of Civilization I
History of Civilization II

Ok, I've added a link to them at DF Wiki with a note that unproctored finals are presently unconfirmed.

Gonna give this a bump because the link is dead, and I can't find anything about this company at all.
In 10 months did this company go belly up? From the posts above it looked promising. I don't see them on the ACE site either.

With a little Google-fu:
DreamDegree Academics
Looks like they just got a face lift. Still don't see anything about a proctor. If they don't have one, I'd take these over Straighterline any day.

Thanks Tedium, usually my Google-Fu doesn't fail me. But every which way I searched I never stumbled across this.
IDK what caught my attention 3 hours ago, but this is much more expensive compared to S.L. and the few syllabuses I browsed look more "challenging".

Mayhap they are. I just hate the idea of proctors, especially ProctorU. I have to use a proctor for three tests for my Shakespeare course. At least I can go to my local university, though.

Hi,
Will you please let me know how to find the course syllabuses? I am interested in 2 of their communications courses. I called them this morning and the woman I spoke with said that they do not have proctored exams.
