I keep reading about the FEMA courses and that TESC will put them in the FREE credit section. Does anyone know if there's a possibility for one to be put in the Social Science section??
TIA
Melissa

The credits usually go to the Free Electives area. I'm trying to see if they (TESC) will apply the rest of mine to the General Education Elective area. I've taken 24, which where also ones that TESC accepts. Here's the link below to the accepted courses. Good luck

I did 19 in the second half December '09. If you're good at scanning the information, you could do 2-4 per day, maybe more. The courses usually have about 150-300 page booklets, and it would take anyone a lot of time to read all of that. So my advice is go through and find your answers and WRITE them down. Always write them down. FEMA sometimes has this cookie problem, so always have a record for that test. So if the cookie fails, you just go back punch in all your answers again. After taking about 10, you'll find a lot of repetitive questions. This makes it a little easier. Good luck

Wow, I just found out that TESC will only apply FEMA's to the Free Electives are. They wouldn't apply them to my General Education Electives area. This really stinks because I only have 6 free elective for my degree, whereas I have 21 general education electives. Well I think I have a few extra exams (CLEP, DSST's) which should cover it. I'm just kinda bummed about this all

don't forget this is also about an education...not just getting a piece of paper. FEMA courses are completely ridiculous. I used them to fill the useless free electives, but take this opportunity to take classes to be able to walk away with more knowledge.
