I have been waiting *almost* 4 weeks for TESC to review my transcript...and chomping at the bit!
In the interim I have finished:
*Straighterline Intro to Criminal Justice (92)
*DSST Intro to World Religion (467)
*CLEP Analyzing and Intrepreting Literature (62)
*DSST to Computing (456)
*DSST Management Information Systems (464)
*DSST Business Ethics and Society (432)
*DSST Human Resource Management (58)
Am taking Organizational Behavior and Information Systems and Applications on Friday....cannot WAIT for this week to be over so I am through the worst of the studying! Side benefit of getting unexpectedly laid off and having a little extra time, I guess!
After that... I am thinking I will be close to done after my 127 traditional B&M credits transfer in....Unless something goes wrong, that is!
I have been doing my testing at Strayer and they do not know anything about how to complete the TECEP on Business Policy....Anyone have any input on how to get this done?
Thanks to everyone on this forum - I could not have done it (and would not have know how to do it!) without you!

Congrats! The wait will be worth it, I know it sucks but it will be worth it. As for the TECEP, ask Strayer if they will proctor a distance learning exam. Most testing centers will, otherwise look to another local college/community college. Most charge a fee to do it just like exams but it isn't a big deal. You register for it like it is a class and then you must take it during that timeframe (they mail it to the person you choose, it gets returned to TESC postage paid, then just like your eval you get to wait for it to be graded too!).
My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.

I don't mean to sound like Sgt. Shultz, but I know nothing. NOTHING. (About TECEPs, that is.) With that caveat, your local library might be able to handle it. I once took a B&M final (paper) with a librarian as a proctor. Good luck.

Oh, and I, too, am waiting for TESC to review my transcripts. Unfortunately, I have not been NEARLY as dedicated as you have been to filling in the missing pieces. Way to go.

From http://www.tesc.edu/degree-completion/Pr...uests.cfm:
"Contact a local college or university and find a full-time member of the testing office or a full-time professor or professional staff member. Adjunct and part-time professors do not qualify. Contact your local public library to find a full-time librarian. Please note that librarians at elementary and high schools do not qualify."
In my case I had my testing center proctor a TECEP but now they've closed down and I needed a midterm to be proctored. Local colleges are all closed the week the midterm has to be done so I have an old professor helping me with it (the libraries here have a policy against proctoring exams). It's kind of a headache, but in the end it's worth it.

The specific exam you are looking for is Strategic Management (they just changed the name of the course), and you can find study material to use here: Thomas Edison State College: Course Offerings (you can usually find study materials for these exams used for just a few bucks)
To register, sign into your online student services account and you can register for the TECEP under the registration link with the rest of classes, and pay your fee with a credit card. Once you are registered for the TECEP, you will receive an email where you can register your proctor (full-time college or university employees, or full-time public librarians will usually qualify - your current proctor may be able to do it if they are willing, or if you call your local library, there will probably be a librarian on-staff that is familiar with proctoring). Your proctor will receive your exam a week or so before the test date you select. The rest of the process is the same as most other exam formats.
I'm also waiting for transcript review. As an enrolled student, my last transcript took about 4 weeks to get added, and my ACE transcript did not get added to the "transcripts received" list until a week after it actually received (I could see on the ACE website when they viewed it), and it has been waiting for application to the evaluation for a couple weeks. I think the school gets a bit bogged down around July - the first month of the "school year" based on financial aid students. Other transcripts seemed to go faster when added after about September. I'm sure all of us will get our updates soon once we make it through the queue!

Got my email yesterday - FINALLY! Unfortunately they indicated that they did not get my official transcript so I basically got an empty degree template. Arghhh!
Interestingly, they said that they have received NO transcripts for me. I have also sent over DSST's, CLEP's, FEMA & a straighterline over the last few weeks. Does this generally take a long time? I am just chomping at the bit to finish while I have some free time!

Do your transcripts have matching information on them? Full name (if changed/altered at all), address, SSN, and so forth? I'd double check that. I had a huge issue with my DSST transcript and TESC since i'm canadian and I don't have an SSN.

I am just chomping at the bit to finish while I have some free time! It took all my my transcripts, from CLEP, DANTES, and SL, upwards of 6 weeks. They get it sooner then that but they take forever reviewing it. If you call the office of the Registrar (609.984.1180) then they may speed it up for you upon request - may. If not you'll just wait out the remainder of the 6-8 weeks. I know it stinks, but there isn't much else to do except keep chomping on that bit. Hopefully they may be able to speed it up for you.

Yep - all of the information is consistent! Excelsior was so quick when they reviewed mine! Of course, they threw all of my B&M credits on the floor for the BA in Business that I was going for!
Guess I will just wait it out!
