Hey everyone, I'm trying to finalize my degree plan with the advisors now, but can't get a straight answer confirming whether the following courses are part of the School of Business and Management AND would be acceptable toward the 12 graded credits required for Sigma Beta Delta: LAW-201 Business Law, ECO-112 Microeconomics, ECO-111 Macroeconomics, MAN-372 International Management or BUS-101 Introduction to Business.
Planning on taking Micro & Macro regardless, as I'm just not grasping enough to feel comfortable trying to test out of them, Bus Law I'd feel comfortable testing out of, but want to take it towards the 12 graded credits, and then Int Management/Intro to Bus would be the same, as I have tests that complete the various Areas of Study requirements, and am mostly just looking for the 24 TESC credits and a couple ALEKS (intermediate algebra & statistics) and one Penn Foster (StratMan) and I'll be complete.
So, anyone have criticism, suggestions, or gouge regarding my plan or difficulty of courses?

As far as I know, economics is normally liberal arts at TESC. I only know that the Money and Banking DSST can count toward finance. Business Law may or may not count as a business course. Anything with a FIN, OPM, MAR, MAN, BUS, or ACC prefix should count. CIS and LDR prefixes might count.

Well crap. That puts paid to that particular plan. I'll have to try to re-arrange the classes & tests I'm going to take to fix that. Thank you for replying.

recommended business courses for graded credit
BUS-101 Introduction to Business
CIS-107 Computer Concepts and Applications
CIS-301 Management Information Systems
BUS-161 Business Mathematics
MAN-372 International Management
MAN-432 Small Business Management
LAW-201 Business Law
Personal Feedback: I think Business Law would be easier to take as the CLEP exam. Intro to Business is a very easy DSST exam but is also an easy course. CIS-107 wasn't bad at all although my instructor was a stickler. If you take this course be sure to check ratemyprofessor for feedback. I was enrolled in MAN432 but dropped to take it as a short 8wk semester at my local CC; it's a very interesting course. I also took Bus Math, it would have been a better experience if I had a worthwhile instructor.
I would suggest taking Macro & Micro through Straighterline or Penn Foster.

Thank you for the feedback. Did they accept MAN432 from your CC as UL credit? It's offered at one near me, but I assumed based on what I've been reading and what I've been able to pull from the advisor (although I'm starting to question what they say as I read and experience more...'anything in Bus. Core counts as Business classes' being one reason) that transfer credits from a CC maxed out at the 2XX level.
I'll be sure to check ratemyprofessor, hadn't really heard of it before, so here's hoping it'll be great.
Now I just need to research PF and SL to figure out which would be a better learning experience for me as far as Macro/Micro are concerned.

I completed my degree prior to policy change so the SBM course did count as UL. Unfortunately that is no longer the case. Actually, I would recommend taking the course at TESC. I only switched to save time, 8wk vs 12wk course.
