200 as upper level really can make TESC very appealing!

How do you go about getting an GPA from TESC? Do you have to transfer in from another college to have an GPA since the clep and dsst or only P/F.

I think you need to have at least one class transfered in or taken with TESC to get a GPA. If you transfer in an "A" from an easy class you take, 4.0 GPA haha

They went with mine. I had a 3.06 from previous classes and that's what's on my degree audit.

TESC takes all previous grades then adds grades from TESC classes if any. My GPA was 3.47 until I took a TESC class got an A- an raised my GPA to a whole 3.49. I missed the full A and a 3.5 Gpa by less than one full point in the final class grade.
Does anyone know if TESC will round or do they keep the .49?

They will not round, but your GPA is not on your transcript. GPA is calculated in-house to be sure you meet the degree requirements of your major. In order to get a GPA, you can go to the transcript request link and request a GPA letter. This is helpful if you need a GPA for a good student rate on your insurance, grad school, employer reimbursement, etc. It's free, but you will never have your GPA on your transcript. (no matter what you transfer in)

Jennifer,
For some dumb reason I've had the idea that in order to have a GPA at TESC, you had to take one of their classes and that whatever was transferred wouldn't count toward your GPA--guess I need to reread the catalog!
Thanks for the info!

I just checked my transcript, no GPA. I don't know how I didn't notice that before haha.
