TESC, COSC or EXCL? 2012
#21
Gooberman,

They take Managerial Accounting and Business Comm for 300 level transfer courses. The Comm class would apply as Gen Ed credit.

I'm glad you made a decision and can start moving forward with finishing your degree!

2. Their upper-level requirements are the fairest of the 3 with only 18 being required, which saves me doing around 4 extra classes or tests.

With EC's recent addition of 4 UL DSST exams, earning 30 UL credits has gotten more manageable. For a list of options at EC, try this post:

esummer thanks for finding that TESC link. I found it early on and then lost it. The PDFs are based on this list but also include ALEKS, Straighterline, and FEMAs based on experience and feedback from TESC. For example, the FEMA list was provided by TESC last summer during their catalog refresh. So don't discount it, but always verify with your adviser before doing something not listed.

No problem, Dcan. The PDF version has definitely pointed me in a good direction as far as FEMA and ALEKS goes. BTW, it would also be advantageous to bring up with TESC that 3 of ALEKS' courses are upper level if anyone has yet to apply. The only ones that ACE has advised to be UL are all the Stats courses, so that may be something to try & have any of the 3 evaluate "properly" if they dont consider them to overlap.

I also found a few other resources for people to find UL/LL regionally accredited credits. Some of them arent exactly cheap, but they arent outrageous either and could be helpful if money isnt so much of an object. I'll leave it to you guys to google them and find the links yourself. Some of them are similar to Straighterline.

Clovis Community College - $39/credit hr if you live in the region. $89 non-resident. LL only. FAFSA eligible.
CalCampus - $230/credit hr UL credit if you can afford it.
Test Drive College - Free? Not too sure on this one. LL only. FAFSA eligible.
Independent Study of Idaho - $100/credit hr flat fee. UL credits available.
Edukan - $130/credit hr flat fee. LL only.

On a side note, I'm really hating my Intro to Stat Aleks course right now........ :-|

Anyway, hope the info helps.

I've seen that basic list elsewhere but I don't recall seeing it with prices and UL/LL info. Good stuff. I added it to the wiki: Sources of Credit - Degree Forum Wiki

Thanks.
