TESC BSAST in IT, newbie getting started

I live in NJ, so I registered at TESC. ... I live a few hours from their physical campus, so I might be able to go there to take tests, rather than do it over the web (if that is allowed).

I live in Jersey too. If you live in Jersey and are a few hours away from TESC's campus then I promise you you are driving past multiple places where you could take a CLEP instead. It could possibly be worth it if you take TECEPs, because your local county college might not know what those are and you might have to arrange for a proctor, but CLEPs and most likely DSSTs (Dantes) will be common for them.
