[TESC] 9 Credits left... quicker method of doing it?
#1
So after my July term (July-end of September), I'll only need 9 credits to graduate BSBA in Marketing.

Currently I just began taking the experiential credit (PLA) course at Kaplan, so that brings the number down to six credits required. I was hoping I wouldn't have to commit to another term (October term) just to accomplish the Free Elective (6 credit) requirements, so is there any alternatives such as independent studies I can take that anyone knows of?

I heard FEMA provides free indep. studies but I've read mixed reception on whether or not TESC accepts those credits anymore. I emailed them, but have yet to get an answer.

So does anyone know of methods in which I can earn the final six Free Elective credits without needing to commit to another term at TESC?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I'm new to this website, and somewhat new to what's on here but have been lurking for some time now. Any details and advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm 21 and aiming to complete my Bachelor's this year!

Any other CLEP or DSST tests you can take?

I don't know much but last I have heard: No.

"Effective immediately, the acceptance of FEMA Independent Study courses for credit at Thomas Edison State College is indefinitely suspended pending further review of those courses. "

Take TEEX - 6 free credits.

TEEX? I just looked it up, but what type of course is this? Any extra info in regards to it? Does TESC accept that as well?

darn, it was worth a shot! I might be able to test into it, but a course would work much better for me.

TEEX is a good suggestion. TESC accepts it. A&I CLEP is also an easy one to pass without studying for 6CR (if you haven't taken it)
Currently studying for: Still deciding.

Can the TEEX credits be applied to "Intellectual and Practical Skills" or the gen ed electives?

CLEP, DSST, or Uexcel.

Hey, thank you for the response. And to all of you. I really do appreciate this help, you guys are the best!

As for A&I CLEP, do you have any additional info regarding it? What exactly is it? What would I need to study, etc?

Thanks again guys, this is awesome.
