TECEP Technical writing online or pen and paper?

I am a bit confused with this sentence on the site, does anybody know if technical writing is pen and paper or online ?

"Starting with the August 2014 term, this TECEP will be offered in online format and paper/pen format"

Does this mean half of it is online and half pen and paper or we have a choice of either doing pen and paper or online.

It is my understanding that TECEPs were formally offered on paper until recently when they started offering them online after an "alliance" with ProctorU. Some TECEPs are available for students to take either online or on paper while others are still in the paper format. For example, TECEP ECL102 cannot be taken online yet, but you can take the TECEP ECL 101 online. Since TESC is gradually working towards transitioning all TECEPS to be taken online, I'd say the above statement means that you can, starting from August 2014, take the Tech Writing TECEP with ProctorU or on paper. Of course you can ask TESC Testing unit to be sure.

English Composition II is strictly pen/paper

Technical Writing can be taken online through ProctorU or with pen/paper format. You choose one or another for this exam, not both.

I know this because I finished the technical writing TECEP last week.

It was harder than I thought. It requires the use of your imagination. The free test prompt made me believe they present you with the information of a situation and you organize it into your own writing to make it professional, but they give you 4 (I think it was 4) general guidelines, and you need to create your own issues, solutions, and other things. I don't want to go too in depth on here, but that was the gist.
