TCEP / UEXCEL question

Hi.  I figured out how to register for TCEPs.  Most available courses say, "e-pack".  Is e-pack similar to study.com (read/listen and take quizes)?  Have those who tested bought the book or is there a good study guide somewhere?  I'm trying to compare test option to study.com and Coopersmith.  Thanks

study.com offers study guides to most of them but if i were you i would get the ones that are available from the parent colleges

You're asking about 3 different things here.

E-pack is full price, like taking a regular course there (so $1500 w/o the Study.com discount). Unlike Study.com, the quizzes don't count towards your grade - so the entire grade is based on the final exam. When you get it on the transcript, it looks like a regular course, no difference is shown on how the course was taken. And you get a grade for it.

Completely different than the TECEP exams, which are $117, and just exams - although they do give you info on study material, which you then can purchase on your own. The exam is ungraded, so just a P/F or C/NC.

UExcel exams are through Excelsior, and are also similar to TECEPs. You can purchase additional study materials and practice tests through EC if you would like. Most of the exams are ~ $150. Major difference with UExcels - they give you a grade (A, B, C if you pass).

Thanks for the clarification. I'm pretty good at tests but need to get more comfortable with the study materials. Study.com spoiled me. Will be scanning the site to see if anyone has shared their experiences. TCEPs can be taken as fast as one is ready, correct?

Not exactly.  You register for a TECEP (and it's spelled like this, not the way you're spelling it, otherwise you may not find them on the website), as if it was a regular course, so during a term.  Then, you can take it any time during that term.  So if you wanted to register today, you could register for the February term (late reg) and then you can take the exam any time between Jan 29 and April 22.
