I don't really feel qualified to post here yet, but I've started doing something recently, and it might help some new testers:
Being a fast reader, I go through and answer every question as quickly as possible, marking any I'm not 100% sure about. I'm usually able to finish that in about 20 minutes, sometimes less. Then, I go back through and carefully read the questions I marked and re-think my original, gut-feeling answer. I usually don't change anything, but occasionally I do. Doing it this way also allows you to take advantage of those gimmes in the test. You know, the questions where the answer is in one of the following questions.
If nothing else, I get done with the test super fast! I've only had to worry about the time on one of my tests, and that was the essay portion on the old English Comp test. By the end of that one I only had 7 minutes to spare, and the essay was awful. :ack:
Don't know if this would work for anyone else, but it seems to be fine for me!
