For OLS 640 I really like Professor Leo Trudel. He's really nice and he leaves awesome feedback. The way it was designed is a bit odd.
1) Every Learning Activity has been locked behind a paywall.
2) I've been asked to write personal essays (about 2 pages worth) multiple times without using "I".
3) You're asked to write a 4 page essay APA cited with personal cites as well, based upon a 300 word article (wtf?)
4) The Outline requirement is 5-7 pages, when the final is only 10215 pages.
Really awkwardly designed. Great content and a lot of great concepts. The assignments are a bit tough, because, they're so focused on personal achievement.

That paywall stuff is nonsense. There's plenty of ways for the program to not use paywalled sites.
Essays about yourself without I are so difficult! I had to do that at CSU Global and it was a struggle.
Who writes a 5-7 page outline? I only make them when required and they're really basic....I can't even imagine coming up with 5-7 pages for any of the papers I've written!
It really sounds like the MAOL has to go through some revision. Part of the issue is these aren't UMPI courses. They're Strut courses. So that's probably why they're so different than what we're used to. I don't see many people completing this degree as it is now. Not when they can go to WGU and complete the MSML in a term or 2 with way less work.

Brandman outright says it'd take a year, UMPI says it'd take a year or less. I don't think it's been modified much for UMPI yet and it's rather difficult.
a lot of links are broken. A lot of videos don't have full captions. There's a lot of issues with it. I've been very vocal about the issues with it so far, so hopefully UMPI can slightly redesign it to be better.
Writing assignments for milestone homework is A-OKAY by me, but they need to make sense! So many of them are "Go read X learning activity and write 4 pages about that in APA cites" but that activity was only 200 words and you're like wtf??? I think some of the professors just choose it randomly and made higher word limits to make it "harder" purposely.
So far I've only had ONE class where it focused on YOUR ability to research, not to write an essay. The rest of them apparently didn't get the memo.

Some paywalls can be defeated by the use of outline.com. But not ones where it's an actual academic article.

Yep. This has been my goto mostly. However, the Strut platform embedded so much of it into iframes so I've been having to manually view the source to find the right url ugh

Yeah! I reported them. So many websites don't load on iframes and it caused a lot of issues!
I just submitted my final for OLS 540 Organizational Theory and Behavior. Whew. That was a lot of work for that final! It took me over 2 weeks to prepare it.

OLS 530 is very essay heavy. First 4 milestones are all 5 page essays. :'(

It is interesting how much writing there is in this degree program. I expected there to be a lot, but not this much. Good luck!
