Studying In Advance For StraighterLine Courses
#1
I'm getting down to the final stretch of my degree (finished Business Statistics in one day today!) and am going to be completing 3 courses through StraighterLine. I wanted to know if anyone has studied the materials for the courses before the class even began?

If so, what was your experience? Were you able to complete the quizzes and exams much quicker? Ideally, I'd like to get 3 courses done in less than a month as far as paying goes. Given that I'm taking days off this month, time isn't really the issue.

If it helps, the courses are Accounting II, Managerial Accounting, and Business Communication. I noticed for the first two, there are a lot of great resources on the McGraw Hill website and think it might be smart to review everything before I begin.

Any input on squeezing everything in only one month (as far as paying goes)? I know about printing out the quizzes and the explanations for the answers.

Business communication is easy, however they take forever to grade written assignments. The quizzes i think theres 15 are short and easy to find in the book. STR8rline Mangerial Accounting is all like 3 quizzes a mid term and final which are long. each quiz covers like 4 chapters and has some problems that need worked out. I know you can get these done in a month, I didnt take the other class so I dont know.

I had originally studied the Financial Accounting REA book for a little while before deciding to go the SL route. I found with a little studying of that, I had a good foundation for me to get through the classes quick. Ended up getting through the mid-term in Accounting 1 within a 24 hour period. Finished up in 8 days I think with a 3 day break during those 8 days. Accounting 2 I took my time a little longer and finished with 2 weeks.

Macro took forever even with my previous Micro knowledge. This is mainly due to the tests after every chapter....very time consuming, can't imagine how it'd be with someone taking it without any prior knowledge.
