Study.com has new courses
#11
There are 24 new courses that I can see, that are listed as credit-bearing on their website, but aren't yet on ACE or NCCRS. 16 are UL, and 8 are LL.

The CJ degree looks like it's going to get easier to accomplish through testing, UL Social Psych for the Psych degree, another Marketing course which will also work for International Business, and more CIS/CS UL courses for those who need to get away from Saylor.

All-in-all, good additions, I can't wait to see what else they come up with in the future.

I just spoke with the staff at study.com.  I spend a lot of time on hold while they went and spoke with their ACE coordination staff so I believe they information should be accurate.   They informed me that all of those courses have been approved by ACE and that they are just waiting on ACE to upload them to their system.  Once ACE has uploaded them they will list the actual course credit hour recommendation on the course page as well.

On a less fortunate note, he also advised that neither History 301 (Historiography)  and English 301 (non-western literature) had been submitted yet.  He noted in particular that non-western literature was not believed to be large enough to submit yet.    Hope all this information is helpful to everyone!

Yay, the way so many NCCRS courses were getting approved lately, I was concerned that SDC was moving away from ACE. Personally, I prefer ACE because I can consolidate everything onto a single transcript, even if places like TESU still require it directly from the originator.

A lot of these courses appeared in the ACE database this morning!  Unfortunately, some of the 300 levels came in as lower division, but I'm sure they'll be working on those.  Really digging Study.com right now.

Here are the new courses that have populated the ACE website, and how they're coming in:

BUS 203: Intro to Retail Merchandising
BUS 318: Management Ethics (UL)
MARK 303: Global Marketing (UL)
MARK 306: Principles of Selling (UL)
EDU 210: Technology in the Classroom
ART 104: History of Western Art II
POLS 103: Comparative Politics
HIS 100: Western Civilization from Prehistory to Post-WWII
HIS 105: US History from Settlement to Present Day
HIST 307: American Civil Rights Movement (LL for now)
COMPSCI 103: Computer Concepts & Applications
COMPSCI 302: Systems Analysis & Design (UL)
COMPSCI 303: Database Management (UL)

So luckily, the only course that was slated to be UL, but didn't get it, was HIS 307. But since there are plenty of UL History courses available here and elsewhere, I don't think it's an issue (it's not stopping anyone from being able to get a degree inexpensively).

Which ones are you referring to?  Study.com said the new courses this round were all ACE, so I didn't even check.  Going back through, I don't see any new NCCRS courses.
