I just wanted to let everyone know that Hospitality Marketing from study.com cannot be used as an elective in the undergraduate marketing certificate. Here is my question and advising's response:
I recently completed the study.com course Hospitality Marketing, HMM-318, and I am hoping that it can apply to the electives section of the marketing certificate that I am working towards. I think that this might be a little unorthodox, so I have attached the ACE recommendation and the study.com syllabus. I do know that there have been some changes in terms of the way TESU transfers study.com credits, but I completed the course and added it to my ACE transcript prior to the new year. The credits are already on my unofficial transcript.
Thank You!
Since a certificate is a specific credential, certificate courses were specifically selected to give students a broad overview in the particular certificate subject area. The Study.com course is specifically geared toward marketing in the hospitality industry and therefore not appropriate for the certificate.
