Am trying to source Eng Comp II for TESU BSBA. While clicking around on TESU's website, I came across the Open Course page with a listing of all qualifying Saylor courses that can be used towards a BSBA degree. After reading over the list, I see that English isn't ACE or NCCRS-- but it's clearly listed at TESU for credit.
Has anyone taken the English I or II at Saylor? It appears the final consists of 2-steps: a Final Comp Exercise and a Final Exam. I'm hoping someone has taken this route and can share some insight.
If this route means that 6 or 7 essays can be avoided (SL) and only cost $25-- then why not?
I'm also considering Micro and Macroeconomics. Just so I don't have to do all of the quizzes at SDC or the 12 assignments at SL.
Any feedback is appreciated!

Eng Comp II is NOT for credit. The open course page lists that you would use Saylor to prepare for the TECEP

Ahh-- I should've kept reading! To prepare for TECEP, etc. Well, I'll still consider courses that are ACE approved ![Wink Wink](https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/images/smilies/wink.png) Damn, so much for getting out of writing two handfuls of essays!

Nope you can use the DSST Advanced English for ENG2. (no essay) In fact, you can use CLEP Modular (no essay) for ENG 1 and DSST Adv Eng for ENG2 (no essay) and get through the entire composition requirement without doing any writing at all.

The other option, if a CLEP and DSST aren't convenient, are the English Comp I & II TECEP exams. While you do have to write some, it's not full essays (the tests are timed). I thought the EC II TECEP was very easy - no prep required if you're a decent writer, and a decent typist. I think I prepped for roughly 5 minutes by looking up a couple of things in a book from the library an hour before my test.

I think hubby is opting for TECEP. He does well with testing AND writes well. He's already gone thru SL for Eng Comp I and complained about it the whole way thru! LOL
