Struggling to get into Army
#21
Thank you for clearing things up for me, I've made a list of the ones I've taken along with the ones needed on that list and I think i can complete it by the end of the week. I do have couple more questions though.(I know, I'm sorry, lol) so all of the tests I've taken with FEMA will still show up on the TESC transcripts or only the ones on the list? I believe that all the FEMAs will be there. TESC won't be enrolling you as a student, so they shouldn't be excluding anything. They are just listing it all on one paper for you. If this ends up not being your experience, please say so. But, I'm pretty sure EVERYTHING will be included - which is why you'll still get your 15

Or will the none credits show up but just say something like N/A for credit worth. I'm just wondering how people will know I've taken those few tests that don't count for TESC otherthan the little certificates they give you to print out. Unless you enroll as a student at TESC, then TESC won't evaluate your credits - in other words, they won't accept or deny anything, think of them as being a neutral third party. (seems like they wouldn't be totally legit to someone else looking at them because they don't have a seal or whatever on them) and my last question hopefully...Is there any process I have to go through to ACTUALLY make my GED into a High school diploma with these credits? According to who? This might be a military question. Or is it just "technically" one when I get 15+ credits? Thank you guys for putting up with me over the past few days!

Ouch, 400 is a lot! Do I get the military discount being a dependant? And when I send this transcript request out do I have to fill out the credit bank info right after or wait for the transcripts? Do I have to call the school and let them know that I am requesting transcripts? Also when filling out the transcript request it says institution which is the school name but then it says "attention" which is the personnel that will be recieve the transcript, what am I suppose to put there?

Saedrea,

Short answer: You don't have to do anything with your GED or transcript.

Long Answer:
You don't need to convert your GED into a Diploma. When the Military has a GED applicant with 15 college credits they process that applicant just like an applicant that has a HS Diploma. The GED applicant is now in the same "category" as a normal High School Graduate. The only thing that changes is how the Military processes you, your GED will remain the same.

I also want to apologize for not specifying that not all the courses are credit worthy in my first post. Sorry.
