Straightliner Is A Rip Off!!!!!!!!!!
#21
Evette , best off luck with your endeavors. Don't let the negative comments shoo you away from this forum. Some people here have given myself and others many good advice. It still sucks that you couldn't get your money back from Straighterline. They should at least give you a grace period. I myself have never tried or plan on trying using that website so i cannot speak from personal experience.

I was enrolled in their College Algebra class. I have opted to take the Clep exam instead. That being said, I am a non traditional student. But, I can do what any of you here can do. Many years ago I completed Eng Comp at my local Community College, so if my use of exclamation marks offend you , I'm sorry! I just wanted to get my point out loud and clear. Nevertheless, if you choose to continue using straight line then you do so at your own risk! Oh, and before we start throwing out rude remarks, I would make sure you knew a thing or two about nursing school.. FYI: Business is my second profession, so it would seem that I am equipped to do what your studying, but are you equipped to do what I have studied? Be Blessed because I don't need or desire to argue with any one here. That was not the reason for my post. I just wanted to get the information out there in the open. So, those who weren't aware as I wasn't, are now aware, and can stay clear of that site! Moreover, why not just get your classes done at an actual Regionally Accredited College? Why not just cut out the middle man? Then there wouldn't be a need to pay those ridiculous fees to Straightline! IMO!

Straighterline charges $99 per month plus 39$ per course. One course is $139, not even my community college can beat that. If you can do two courses in one month, that's only $177. Why did you try Straighterline if you think their fees are ridiculous? You attended Excelsior, so you should know that they charge $355 per credit now.

I'm glad others said it first. I was thinking it was CS7 or one of his/her ilk.

As to "paying it forward," that's a lovely idea. In fact, I've benefited from the generosity of many on this forum who believe that they should pay it forward. Usually, however, they don't rant. Yes, your "paying it forward" came across as a rant, and not as an informative posting. Your information would have been more readily accepted if you presented it as a warning to carefully read all of the small print - your responsibility - and not Straighterline's fault. That's a reminder that we all need every now and then, and it would probably have been taken in and appreciated.

Now, put on your big girl panties and get on with your education.

I'll sum this up for everyone.. "But..., admit I made a mistake, but..., insult, look I have a title...sidenote: Not BSN Wink, but..., make insult against other schools, but..., insert foot in mouth and repeat after more replies!"

Why do you capitalize every word?

Court's have ruled there is no reasonable expectation of privacy in an IP address. Truth be told you have given out enough info that someone could possibly get your RN license number if they wanted to waste their time.
