Marianne - just do it!!! Make sure your 17 year old is ready and you can take a road trip to a testing center. My DS and I have gotten so much closer since we began the CLEP journey together and today was awesome. I am so lucky to have such a great relationship with my son and today really added to that.
Everyone else - thanks again. DS posted on his Facebook page so all his friends could see that he was earning college credit. Yes, the "dumb" kid who failed out of school and was homeschooled as a last resort is actually succeeding. Well, NO ONE posted a comment
I had to explain to him that his friends who are all sophmores in HS, probably have no idea what he's talking about. Heck, most of my adult friends think that I'm totally crazy or that somehow I'm not going to be able to earn a degree. We shouldn't expect teenagers to be any different.
The posts on this board made his evening and since there are so few people that understand the CLEP/DSST thing, it was nice getting kudos from people who understand.
