There must be someone out there not involved in the ongoing thread about... forget it, I'm not going to name the two topics. I'm just looking for someone who can advise me on which order to watch the Khan Academy videos to study for the DSST Statistics exam. Is there something on the site that provides an order in which to watch videos for a particular topic? It's hard for me to figure out which way to go since I know nothing about the topic. :willynilly: Thank you.

I'd like info on this too!! Taking BYU's course, and stats is just not my thing.

While InstaCert feedback has this test with a generous curve, statistics is NOT a natural fit for me. There cannot be a curve generous enough to pass me, and the time I'm taking to study is confused. I watch a video on the Annenberg site, then work a few problems in the Dummies workbook, then read a chapter in the Idiot's book, then run screaming out of the room. A few days later, I'm a bit calmer, and I start from the beginning. I'm now pretty sure I can figure the mean, the median, and the mode, but that's about it. It's distressing and stressful.

Curves? What do I know about curves? That's too much statistics already for me. :roflol:
Jokes aside, I'm at pretty much the same place even with the benefit of a textbook and the online multimedia companion. All the best to you...I haven't even attempted any of the midcourse exams, and I know testing out is not going to work for me. Everyone told me it'll be easy since math is fine with me...stats doesn't feel like math.
So yeah, anybody out there?

Can't help with that, but I took Stats in course form and used the Introductory Statistics book by Neil Weiss for the class. If you can find an inexpensive off edition copy, the book was very intuitive...or as intuitive as I think you could make Stats. A teacher edition or the student answer book to accompany can give you a self-check. It started with median, mean, and mode and walks you through z-tests and all that fun stuff you never realized how much you didn't want to know with a lot of practice questions.
