Straighterline.com Digital or Ebooks locator Question - Please!
#1
I would like to continue taking Straighterline.com courses, I prefer to use eBooks or digital books. I read in many other threads that many students are using eBooks, but Straighterline doesn't have them for all courses. Only a couple of courses have eBooks, not on Amazon and etc. Could someone please give me other sites to find Digital or eBooks for Staighterline.com please? I google for 2 days with no luck I have given upbanghead. I found 1 or 2 books but thats it.

Thank you for any help!!! I really appreciate it!!

Online Textbooks, eTextbooks, textbook eBooks, exam copies | CourseSmart has quite a few e-books that Straighterline doesn't offer.

Just to note, the e-book that you can buy from SL, comes from Coursesmart, and can be purchased cheaper, directly from their site.

For international queries i would suggest:

BetterWorldBooks.com - New & Used Books for Sale, Textbooks, Book Reviews & more - FREE SHIPPING

I bought both ACC 101 AND 102 text books for a total of $26.51. Free world wide shipping. Books arrived in great condition. Only problem is you cant track the shipment. I got one email to tell me when the books were being sent. After about a month i sent an email asking what happened to my books and i got a reply stating that they couldn't track it. But as per their records i should receive the book within the week itself. I got the books 2 days after reading that email which was impressive.

I do know that they recently started an ebook section but i was wondering if anyone here used them.

Awesome! thank you - been looking for days and couldn't find a source for ebooks for just Straighterline courses. With the open book test the ebooks are much better.

Just FYI, I'm considering taking the Straighterline Intro to Religion and Cultural Anthropology courses. Does anyone on this thread have experience with ebooks for either of these? Are they .PDFs? If not, is a special app required for them and are they searchable? Many thanks.

I didn't use an ebook for Intro to Religion, but I used one for Cultural Anthropology. Whatever you do, don't buy the ebook thru SL! Their ebooks are $80+.. that's way too expensive!

I got the Cultural Anthropology ebook for under 10 bucks! This is what I did... I bought a used textbook at Chegg for $4 (+ S/H) and Chegg included 7-day access to the ebook version for free. Seven days is enough time to complete either one of those courses - they are easy.

Chegg ebooks are not PDFs. Chegg has its own built-in browser reader, so you view them in a browser window/tab. You can also download the Chegg reader app, but you won't be able to use it for the final exam (phones/tablets are not allowed). However, you can use the browser version (in a browser window or tab) when taking the final exam. Just make sure you let the proctor know you will be using an ebook. Chegg's ebooks are searchable (Ctrl + F) and you can also use the index and jump to a page.
