Ha! That's funny (and kinda true!) But the point is there, don't be intimidated by the speed that you get through a long list of tests, speed isn't the only valid reason to use CLEPs.

To keep from falling into the "study and study but never jump in" trap, I liked to make a first pass or two through the material until I could score the bare minimum pass on practice tests, then schedule the exam with the proctor center and my work two or three weeks down the road. Use those two or three additional weeks to refine the basic knowledge (required for the bare minimum pass) and to add in the finer details needed to score higher and actually learn the specifics of the material. When the exam is scheduled, you've given yourself a deadline - of course you can move it back, but don't unless you're deathly ill - but you're then starting from the minimum passing point and can only get better from there to guarantee a successful test day.
