Starting today, no Straighterline courses require proctoring for the final exam. This is a huge step forward in creating an easier and less invasive experience for students! You have until midnight 8/31 to go to any of their partner pages and get the $349 deal for 27 gen ed courses. They're just loaded into your account and you have 4 months to complete the ones you want/need.

Sorry I wasn't implying that the Biochemistry course was part of any new package deal, I only saw the course is offered at Straighterline a few nights ago so I saved it:
There's a program I wanted to do eventually and Biochemsitry is a prerequisite course, so I looked at Study.com and Sophia.org but neither had Biochemistry.

Cool! Yes, they only have 27 general education classes under this special deal, the rest are not on sale... Thus, you should only pay a monthly membership while you pay per class that is not on sale. I highly recommend taking classes not offered by Sohpia.org and Study.com or any other ACE provider, such as Coursera, etc.

Well, they are slow adopters, since it took them five years to catch on to what Sophia was doing or getting away with.
Maybe 20 years from now, they’ll finally wake up and say, “Oh, this AI thing might actually be relevant to careers. Let’s create an AI course!”

Underneath the table showing the different price plans is the heading, “View courses included in Semester & Annual Plans.” Click on that heading to expand. Expanded, that section lists the 27 courses which, if you subscribe to a Semester or Annual plan, are included at no additional per-course fee from Straighterline. (The lab courses have lab material fees attached, payable to the lab material company.)
