No video when I took it, just the usual multiple choice test, which was open book at the time but might be closed book now.

I finished SL's Intro to Com today! For anyone who's interested: the final is currently open book and doesn't have a speech component, although you do have a speech due in the same unit. There are a total of three speeches required in this class which means it satisfies COSC's Oral Communication requirement.
Don't stress the speeches too much. SL isn't a hard grader. They provide a rubric so pay attention to that, if you establish your qualifications in the introduction (for example) you'll have a good shot at getting 5 points just for that.
I actually ended up writing out my speech and reading it from my computer screen so that's always an option if you just can't get a smooth delivery otherwise.
Good luck to anyone else who does this one!

I see this is an old thread but was wondering how you submit the 3 required speeches. Do you do them live on webcam? Record them and email them? Just trying to figure out the logistics. If anyone has done it, any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks!

You record the videos with a webcam on Youtube (when I took it) and then submit the video link to SL through a submission link in the course.
