My son needs this one course and he's done with his transfer credits - so the cost is the same for either option if I use the WGU Sophia coupon. Any recommendations based on the courses themselves?
Here Researching for my son, who has done the following:
Community College: Intro to Philosophy, Fundamentals of IT, English Comp 1
Saylor: Intro to Business, Principles of Marketing, Corporate Communication
Shmoop: US History 2 (WGU won't accept this)
ALEKS: Int. Algebra, College Algebra
Study.com: Personal Finance, Principles of Finance, HR Management, Global Business, Advanced Operations Management
Straighterline: US History 2, Environmental Science, US History, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, English Comp 2, Principles of Management, Business Law, Business Ethics, Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Accounting 1,Communication, Managerial Accounting, Statistics
Ed4Credit: Managing Information Systems
Sophia: Project Management
WGU: Bachelors in HR Management
Second son is currently attending Penn Foster for his high school diploma, then on to Ashworth for An Associates in Criminal Justice

Sophia's Project Management was very easy. I finished it in less than a day. IMO, your son would complete the Sophia PM faster, but would probably learn more from the Study.com course

Sophia classes are expensive.
But it was a cool setup they had for that free class they've offered. Seems like a neat system if the money isn't a big deal.

I paid $200 using my TESU discount, however that was still $100 more than the Study.com Project Management course. If Sophia would lower the costs by a large percentage, I would definitely become a repeat customer. Even with the TESU discount, I just cant justify spending 200 bones on another one of their courses.

I got a $50 Sophia Success Scholarship (discount code) after completing Project Management, and after completing their free effective teams course.

I personally did not think the Sophia course was easy at all, but I did learn a lot. And their setup is fantastic. Best dashboard ever.
No idea on Study.com, since I've never taken a course there. Most people can't compare the same course at 2 different providers, since they don't take both.

I finished the Project Management at Study.com in about a month. Many have finished it in much less time. It has over 100 lessons with quizzes after each lesson, chapter review tests after each chapter (10-15 chapters...I can't remember), a final exam with 100 questions, and a power point project. My first choice is to pick courses that can be finished quickly without any projects...only final exams. I picked study.com because I though it was only quizzes and a final exam. I didn't realize there was a project at the end...my fault.
2017...Finished Bachelor's General Management at TESU.

Sophia doesn't have a final project, if that makes a difference. Just quizzes and exams.
