Successfully completed 7th DSST Exam today!
#1
All,

I just completed my 7th DSST exam today since September 14th. I have passed them all by a comfortable margin with the exception of Drug and Alcohol Abuse which was more difficult than expected. Intro to Computing.. was easier than expected. I had not studied for that one at all, so I took it cold since I was already at the testing center and passed. It wasn't a breeze, but should be passable to all of you. I also took Environment and Humanity--it was difficult and not much like the study guide, but I passed it also by a comfortable margin. The third test I took today was Personal Finance--no studying--it was very easy and I would recommend it.

The others such as Criminal Justice, Here's to your Health and Intro to Business are easy using the study guide.

Good Luck to all of you! This was my last test. I will be done with my BS in Management next month!

Following are tests and scores:
Intro to Computing - Score: 60
Personal Finance - Score: 59
Environment and Humanity - Score: 58
Intro to Business - Score: 63
Criminal Justice - Score: 57
Here's to your health - Score: 63
Drug and Alcohol Abuse - Score: 50

congrats. I took the drug and alcohol test today. It was my first. It seemed really hard. I know that I got for sure 45 correct out of 103. The rest I had to do process of elimination to get my best guess. Is each question worth .97 points in this case or do they use some other method of scoring. I never see anyone making 80-90 scores on these how come?

The tests are scaled with the highest score being 80. The questions do not have equal weight. Some are not even counted... There are plenty of threads on this. Just do a quick search and you'll find lots of info.

Each school also accepts the tests on their own terms. An A can be in the 50's on a DSST exam.

I would definitely say that the Drug and Alcohol test was the most difficult as well....see my score and that I passed it by 2 points, whew! The others were really nt hard. I was sweating Envronment and Humanity for a Natural Sciences credits and did't want to fail, I would say t was the second hardest of the 7 I took. The other 5 were pretty even as far as difficulty and the study guide was right on the money. Good luck to all!
