I took Developmental Psychology via LSU independent study and they never checked to see if I'd taken the prereqs. They took 3 weeks to grade each of my tests, but other than that it was a perfect experience.
But... LSU's courses require a proctor for the tests. I've heard that there are online math courses out that don't require proctors, which is what I would want in the case of math. I seem to remember a thread floating around about it either here or on degreeinfo.com.
