WOW! the only test I have even began to sweat over...My request is directed for individuals who have already taken the test...
I have been studying for the statistics test using the IC cards for about a week now. I have already reviewed other students blogs who have taken the test and I:
-Purchased the Complete IDIOT'S Guide to Statistics
-Downloaded the DSST information
-Memorized the IC information and almost have everything memorized
My questions follow in that I understand the IC cards, do I really need other material for the test, does the DSST follow the note cards closely or is it essential for this test to follow up with other materials?
Math is not my strongest subject and I am taking extra time to prepare so that I can pass this test first time around and truly want to know what to expect, majority of questions asked, what to focus on...the details to get through this headache
Any information is much appreciated. Again, please someone who has already taken this test is whom I would like to correspond with. Thanks everyone and have a great weekend.

there were a lot of questions finding the standard deviation for a sample group when given the population sd, i didn't think i would have to know formulas...but there were some questions where you had to choose the formula for the given question. null hypothesis. z table usage. i just took exam today and my head is spinning! good luck!!

I much appreciate the information, I passed with a 423 two weeks ago.
I felt that IC was very proportional to the exam but there were about 30 questions or so that I had no clue on.
All, I can say is that I am more than happy that I passed, I have only one more test before I finish which I will take on Tuesday next week for Principles of Finance and then I will take a break with only 6 classes this semester. Between IC (10 classes) and school I knocked out 11 courses in two months and my mind is kind of fried.
Again thanks and take care.

Me too! Once again Categ, I am following in your footsteps. Only this time you are not giving me a good example to follow!

You know I'm just kidding. You're my hero. Hey, ever hear from our buddy Matt?
Best to ya,
Kelly

Have not heard from him. I should email him and see how he made out in the summer session. I think he was taking 2 classes. I just finished Accounting Information Systems. Wow was that dry! Blecchh, glad to have it out of the way. For the next 2 semesters, I am going to try 2 classes each semester. I have not done that in a lifetime. Wish me luck.
We really gotta get those 2 exams out of the way. I have to get back to studying for Bus. Law II. I can't get motivated. Maybe now that summer is over, I will get back at it. We'll see.
good luck to you.

Good luck, Categ. You can do it! Look at how much you've accomplished so far - some of which you probably NEVER thought you'd do (or want to

).
