Is the Texas Instruments BAE II+ the best calculator for the exam? I ask because I do not have it where I'm at (I'm stationed in Korea). They got some fancy graphing ones and the TI-X30a and TI-X30b. Don't know if those are any good. Thanks!

The two you mentioned didn't have all the Statistics calculations programmed into it, just some of them. If you are able to buy the calculator that I used, it's about $14, I would do it. Graphing calculators aren't allowed for this test.

For anyone else wondering, this information is not posted anywhere online officially that I can find (that you CAN use a calculator for the statistics DSST), but it *IS* true. I called the support line at getcollegecredit.com just now and confirmed it. So if your stuffy test administrator denies you the use of a non-graphing, non-programmable, hand-held calculator, have him or her call the customer support line listed on getcollegecredit.com and speak to the support personnel there. They said to do that if you're given any trouble about it.
I'm an engineer. Go figure.
