Starting from scratch, where to begin?
#71
I wouldn't go forward with backup plan like the UEXCEL that limits your choices unless you find you actually cannot pass the TOEFL. Can you find a local tutor or club that would give you English speaking practice?
NanoDegree: Intro to Self-Driving Cars (2019)
Coursera: Stanford Machine Learning (2019)
TESU: BA in Comp Sci (2016)
TECEP:Env Ethics (2015); TESU PLA:Software Eng, Computer Arch, C++, Advanced C++, Data Struct (2015); TESU Courses:Capstone, Database Mngmnt Sys, Op Sys, Artificial Intel, Discrete Math, Intro to Portfolio Dev, Intro PLA (2014-16); DSST:Anthro, Pers Fin, Astronomy (2014); CLEP:Intro to Soc (2014); Saylor.org:Intro to Computers (2014); CC: 69 units (1980-88)

So, we find out that Charter Oak dont have a toefl needed.
So when i take the english course and i do well, i can apply to excelsior and i can apply to charter oak when my documents are ready.
I debt if i take the toefl so that i have a chance to apply to TESU, but still needed 79 points on the toefl test. Or that i use the time to start the English course and start with this the next semester (enroll is in 1.5 week). So choices, choices....
In the mean time i do the Ethics course.
Im wondering if there is a list with UL courses? Because i think i need 30 credits of this, and i need also the basic courses like history etc.
I hope i have tomorrow time to start with a "plan/map". Not sure how to begin.

If you want to time yourself and write a 30-minute Independent Writing essay, then send me the essay in a message, I can give you a quick assessment of the kind of score you could expect. I typically work with students on Speaking and Writing.

COSC does except Shmoop, not sure about Excelsior.  Be sure to try Shmoop with the free trail first; especially since English is not your first language. Even us native speakers can find the Shmoop'slang diffucult to follow. Even if English was your first language and you were not from the US, I wouldn't recommend it - it is very heavy in US slang references (and often poorly done still).

I completely agree with this. Shoomp uses lots of slang and weird ways of saying things.

If you want to use the free trial (you just have to cancel in 24 hours) and see what you think. I believe Excelsior accepts it, I think out of the big 3 it is only TESU that doesn't.
