burb - a huge thank you. Awesome advice that will be taken! I like the idea of pre-reg and pre-paying. Knowing I already laid down the cash will definitely kick me into high gear. Thank you again!
Cookde - very cool! what kind of food does your husband do? Italian over here :-)

YES! i love this thread! I am just finishing my undergrad. It took me 12 months and thats with a few months off to have my second child. I did it in evenings and on the weekend with a toddler and infant. ITS HARD but possible. just be firm about needing time to get it done.
I plan to start my masters in the winter. that will be even harder and yes its scary but i am determined.
good luck moms and dads out there

The most important part is having a supportive family who backs you up and encourages you to study those long hours. My wife and daughter have been great support.

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.
Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.
Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.
Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.
Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.
