Has anyone been able to transfer over the intro to college mathematics and have it fill their math requirements for UMPI? I reallllllly hate math and don't want to take statistics or algebra, but that class looks doable.

It does transfer but you need to check and see if it will fulfill the math requirement for your degree. It won't for all degrees.

TBH, Sophia's Algebra isn't all that different than the College Math. If you can do one, you should be able to do the other. I would at least give it a shot. You might be pleasantly surprised.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Basically, I would see if the CSM Learn course would work at UMPI as well if this doesn't go your way. I would recommend trying the course Sophia Intro to College Math, and try to level up to the College Algebra course if you need an additional math. These are open book, and you can use so many resources online to learn, such as the CLEP/MS. Take them at the same time even, and do a CLEP!

The CSMLearn course does not transfer as a math course to UMPI. Intro to College Math doesn't fill the GEC requirement for all degrees at UMPI. It depends on which degree the OP wants to pursue if it will transfer to fill the GEC requirement. Seems odd to tell someone who dislikes math to take multiple math courses and an exam. LOL

People learn differently, my kids both really hated Math for years for example. I tried so many homeschool options or practice workbooks and finally decided to go the Kumon route and later the Eye Level route for tutoring their English and Math. This last report card showed an immediate difference for them and now Math is my son's best subject.
For them, trying other course providers or tutoring styles worked, so that was what I was recommending, is to use MS/CLEP or anything else as an inexpensive secondary resource, you don't have to take the exam. You can try supplementing that with ALEKS or Khan Academy, whatever floats your boat and works for you.
