Hello DF!
As of this morning there are no longer any end dates for Sophia courses. Take as long as you want to complete a course while your membership is active.
You'll notice a couple of changes to the course dashboard, where the "days left" bar is gone and there's a simplified score speedometer.
As usual, please let us know what you think.
Thanks.
Dack

Ah… good idea. That’s how Coursera is too. Next question, if there is no end date and you cancel in the middle (maybe you have a stretch of time that you can’t work on it), will you still keep your progress????

Why would you cancel if there's no end date?

Prolonging a Sophia course sounds like it might get expensive, though. If it is taking months ($) it might be better to cancel the course and go back when you have the time/life gets back to normal? I think most people are thinking the other way around, they want a way to speed up their courses, especially the ones with Touchstones. Random Sophia Suggestion: offer an American Government class!! As always want to say I LOVE Sophia!!

Yeah, that's a great feature added to Sophia.org, they should also have an option for "pause membership" and the ability to go back to the course when the membership is on pause. Some people want to spend a month doing Sophia.org and another month on something else, this way, they're not going to have to worry about membership fees being charged for months not used.

So you aren’t paying a monthly fee just to do nothing.

I thought no end date meant you could finish whenever you wanted (they used to allow 4 months to do courses, which was way better in my opinion). I didn't realize they had an end date on a monthly subscription, which makes absolutely zero sense.
