Study.com course breakdown.
#1
I'm taking a few Study courses over the next few weeks. I've taken some Sophia and some StraighterLine courses.

If someone could breakdown a typical course and give some tips and tricks to complete the course, that would be greatly appreciated!

I'm taking four courses and if anyone has specific experience with with them, that would also be wonderful!

Business 101: Principles of Management
Business 102: Principles of Marketing
Business 103: Introductory Business Law
Business 104: Information Systems and Computer Applications

Here's my two cents:
Try to take as many practice exams as possible. Many of final exam questions can be from practice exams.
Also, make sure to read all of the text materials in each chapter.

Here's the deal. You are dealing with introductory courses which means 90% of the material is learning some vocabulary. If you are decent at that you should be able to blast through these courses in a few days each. I would start by skimming each lesson (just the text, video slows you way down) then go straight to the quizzes. If you get to a question and you are clueless just stop and go back to the text and read more thoroughly. When you go back the quiz will start over but won't count against your three tries. If you miss one or two figure out why and get them correct the next time. DO NOT play trial and error on the quizzes beyond the first try. Once you get 5/5 move on to the next lesson and repeat.
Following this method you should end up with 100 on the quizzes so now you need a 55+ on the exam to pass the class. The exam is going to be the same multiple guess format as the quiz questions and you should easily be able to eliminate an answer or two dramatically increasing your odds of getting the right answer. Try to go through the course in a few days and take the exam as soon as you finish the last quiz while it is fresh in your mind. Do one class at a time for the same reason.
Time is money on SDC; you should be able to do those courses in one month for $340.
Do a practice test or two if you like but when you only need a 55 to pass the exam I think it is a waste of time.

Sophia has business law now, though it does require an essay/paper. Also, are you going to TESU? Business 104 transfers in as CIS 103 while Sophia's intro to IT transfers in as CIS 107. They are not quite the same but may be able to substitute for one another?

I'm going to Upper Iowa Uni, so I have no idea on what transfers. I looked into TESU back when I was searching, but I couldn't get in and UIU had lower entry levels, so I went with them.
