I’m enrolling in a statistics course with Sophia however I noticed that proctoring is administered via keystrokes but under the syllabus it mentions that a proctor may be required? Does ProctorU handle this or is truly just keystrokes? Has anyone taken introduction to statistics with Sophia recently and can shed some light on the course and or final?

Hey!
I am currently taking this course and plan to take the Final next week.
The biometric keystroke portion is done when you start the course and before you take the final. Otherwise, it’s not brought up again during the course. There may be other cases that there is actual proctoring, but that has not been my experience this year. I know they transitioned from proctoring to keystroke, so perhaps they chose not to update the syllabus that it’s completely removed? Not sure, but as far as I can see, it hasn’t come up.
I love Sophia.org courses and wish they offered more!
Let me know if you have any other questions!
HTH!
